WORLD A.I. FILM FESTIVAL AFRICA

Abidjan February 2027

Africa is imagining tomorrow.

The World AI Film Festival (WAiFF) Africa – Abidjan is the official WAiFF platform for Francophone West Africa. Organized by DUX Côte d'Ivoire and Kaydan Technology, in partnership with Studio Laffitte and the EuropIA Institute, it aims to make Abidjan the essential meeting place for audiovisual creation enhanced by artificial intelligence.

WAiFF Africa – Abidjan is part of a pan-African ambition to unite talent, schools, studios, creators, and creative industries from across the continent. From this inaugural edition, the festival will host works, speakers, and delegations from numerous African countries, making Abidjan the hub for AI-enhanced audiovisual creation in Francophone Africa. This dynamic aims to gradually spread throughout the continent and showcase African creations on the international stage.

Inspired by the evolution of the palaver tree to AI-enhanced cinema, WAiFF Africa celebrates an Africa that innovates without denying its heritage.
Throughout the Road to Cannes, the festival will bring together official competitions, workshops, masterclasses, conferences, and professional meetings to reveal a new generation of African creators and offer them international visibility.
Because the talent has always been there. Today, artificial intelligence gives it new means of expression.
Welcome to WAiFF Africa – Abidjan.
