The 2026 World AI Film Festival highlights a new era where artistic vision meets intelligent creation.

To qualify, each submitted work — Short Film, Feature Film, Micro Series, or Advertising — must use at least three generative AI tools, including one dedicated to image creation. Hybrid films mixing live-action and AI are encouraged.

The selection committee will focus on works where AI plays a creative and meaningful role, expanding storytelling and visual expression.

This edition invites filmmakers worldwide to explore new cinematic possibilities shaped by the imagination of both humans and machines.

Subdivided into four genres:

Animation, Action, Emotion, and Fantasy,

from 5 to 10 minutes

Featured film

The film must have a length of more than 25 minutes

MICRO-SERIE

The micro-series must include 4 to 6 episodes

With a maximum duration of 2 minutes.

ADVERTISING

Suggested length: between 15 and 60 seconds — but don’t feel limited! You’re completely free to go beyond this timeframe if it best serves your creative vision.

screenplay+Ai TEASER

Applicants must submit a full script with dialogue, along with an AI-generated teaser or animated moodboard illustrating the film’s world and artistic style

the script must be created or enhanced using Genario

WHAT IS WAiFF?

The World A.I. Film Festival (WAiFF) is an international competition showcasing video creations and screenplays made using artificial intelligence tools. The competition rewards innovation and creativity in several categories.

WHAT ARE THE CRITERIA FOR PARTICIPATION?

Respect the specific conditions for each category.
Provide the required documents (illustration, synopsis, presentation, etc.).
Use artificial intelligence tools in the creative process.

HOW TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION

Entries must be submitted via the official WAiFF website. Follow the specific instructions for each category and be sure to respect the formats and deadlines indicated.

WHICH I.A. TOOLS CAN I USE?

The film must incorporate at least three generative Artificial Intelligence tools, including at least one tool dedicated to image generation. Hybrid films, combining live-action footage with generative processes, are fully eligible. However, the work must demonstrate a significant and meaningful use of Artificial Intelligence in order to be considered by the selection committee.
